An explanation of how students can install Read&Write with LockDown Browser.

Instructions

Read&Write: Version 12.0.79 will automatically update to 12.0.85. Please note that the PC will need to restart. If the user cannot sign in using Microsoft, please close Read&Write and restart the device. 

LockDown Browser: Version 2.12.010


Using Read&Write with LockDown Browser

  1. Launch the Read&Write application.
  2. Click on the Read&Write logo in the floating toolbar.
  3. Select “Sign in with Microsoft.”
  4. You will be redirected to your default browser (Chrome or Edge).
  5. Log in using your full PFW email address.
  6. Authenticate using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
  7. Once logged in, you will receive a confirmation message that you are signed in.
  8. Open the LockDown Browser while the Read&write app is open.
  9. A Read&Write popup will appear, confirming that you’re using Read&Write with LockDown Browser.
  10. Click OK. Read&Write will automatically switch to Locked Browser Mode.
