Are guest accounts available for Purdue IT Lab access?

Overview

If you have an event scheduled in a Purdue IT Learning Spaces computer lab that will have attendees from outside Purdue University, temporary guest accounts can be created to allow access to the computer stations.

Instructions

The Purdue IT Labs team can assist with creating these guest accounts. Please provide an Excel spreadsheet with the attendee first name, last name, and email address.
For minors, a parent/guardian email address is acceptable.

The Excel spreadsheet can be emailed to itlabs@purdue.edu or shared via FileLocker. Please provide the spreadsheet at least 2 business days in advance of the event to ensure processing time.

The team will create the temporary guest accounts and share these with you via FileLocker.

Some other notes about guest accounts:

  • These guest accounts are for groups with scheduled lab events.  
  • If you are a conference coordinator, you may submit the guest access form directly by clicking on the ‘Multiple Guests’ (Purdue staff only) link.
    • Upload the Excel spreadsheet in ‘Tab delimited’ form.  Attendee name and email address are required.
  • If you are a guest of a specific department on campus, you will need to contact your departmental business office or contact to see if they will authorize the creation of a guest account for you.
