Overview
What is Hotseat?
Details
Hotseat provides all learners a place to quickly and easily participate in a productive backchannel discussion during class. Suddenly, everyone has a voice. Hotseat allows you to post questions, reply with comments, and answer polls using whatever technology you have available: SMS texting, iOS and desktop and mobile websites. This gives everyone a chance to actively engage in classroom activities.
You can log in to Hotseat website with your Purdue Career Account at https://www.openhotseat.org.
The iOS Mobile App is available at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hotseat-at-purdue/id456318091?mt=8
IMPORTANT: Android users: Due to low usage numbers and constrained resources, the Android app was removed from the Google Play Store by the Hotseat development team. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please use the mobile website at https://www.openhotseat.org.
Most full time faculty and staff will receive automatic instructor access when logging into Hotseat for the first time. If someone gains instructor access this way then a space named Sandbox Space for <insert your name> will be present and will contain demo content that can be reviewed.
