Purdue Fort Wayne- Login & Find in Brightspace (Student Guide)

By following this guide, you will be able to login to Brightspace, find and pin a course in Brightspace, and to understand how to courses appear in the My Course widget and Course Selector dropdown menu.

By following this guide, you will be able to login to Brightspace, find and pin a course in Brightspace, and to understand how to courses appear in the My Course widget and Course Selector dropdown menu.

Instructions

Login to Brightspace

1. Go to Brightspace. 

2. Click Purdue Fort Wayne.

3. Enter your PFW Username and Password.

4. Click LOGIN.

Pin a course to the My Courses widget

1. Click the Course Selector icon.

2. Click the Pinicon to the right of the course name.

3. The course will now appear in the My Courses widget.

 

Understand how courses appear in the My Courses widget

1. My Courses widget will show up to 12 courses. 

2. All manually pinned courses appear first.

3. Current enrolled courses appear.

4. Future enrolled courses appear (if available and visible to the user).

5. Past enrollments appear (if available and visible to the user). 

 

Find your course in Brightspace

1. After logging in to Brightspace, click the Course Selector icon at the top of the page.

2. Click on the course name.

 

Understand how courses appear in the Course Select dropdown menu

1. Click the Course Selector icon. 

2. Use the search bar to look up the course you want. When you try to search your course, it may already show up the courses that you looked at before. 

3. Click on the designated course.
