Overview
There are many responsibilities that may require you to have access to shared mailboxes at Purdue. These are mailboxes designed to be used for certain departments or dedicated purposes, by multiple people. An easy way to access these mailboxes is through the Outlook Web App. These instructions will guide you step-by-step through opening the shared mailbox in your web browser.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to be granted access to the mailbox prior to these instructions. If you do not yet have that access, please consult with your team to get a request submitted to Purdue IT.
Instructions
You will be using a web browser for the following steps (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox). The steps will be identical regardless of which browser you choose.

Please follow these steps to open the shared mailbox:
- Go to the Outlook Web App in your browser of choice, and log in with your Purdue account.
- Once signed in, select your profile icon in the top right. Then select 'open another mailbox'.

- A new window will appear. Begin typing the name of the mailbox you wish to open, and you should see it come up as a result.

- Select the mailbox, and then click OPEN

- You will see a new tab open in your browser, and it will contain the mailbox for the selected account.

That is it! You are done.
