Daniels School of Business - How to Print from a Personal Computer

Summary

How to install and use the Mobility Print app on your personal computer. This will allow you to print while on campus.

Body

Overview

While on Purdue campus, you may need to print from a personally owned computer (meaning it was not provided by Purdue University). In this article, we will guide you through using Mobility Print, which you can use to print Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, PowerPoint slides, and images.
Please note that this is specifically for Daniels School of Business faculty, staff, and students.

Instructions

In the steps below, we will instruct you how to locate, install, and use the Mobility Print application on your computer.

  1. You will need to make sure you are connected to the VPN. If needed, information on the VPN can be found here.
  2. Download the PaperCut Mobility Print app here.
  3. Run the installer, and you will be presented with a list of printers to choose from. Only select the printer(s) that you will need. (You can always run this installer again later, to select a different printer).

For reference: The printer names will indicate their locations (MGMT-BLDG-ROOM plus p#):

  • MGMT = The school of management
  • BLDG = The building (KRAN - Krannert, RAWL - Rawls Hall)
  • ROOM = The room/location within that building
  • P# = The printer number
  1. It will ask you to authenticate, and for this you will use your Purdue Career account username and password.

You are done! You should now be able to print normally to the printer(s) you selected.
