Overview
Many classes and academic work may require that you access Palisade Decision Tools/@RISK software. This article will give you step-by-step instructions on how to access this.
A couple of things to note, before getting started:
1. If you are on MacOS (Apple), you will need to be sure that you have the Windows App installed before this process.
2. If you are off campus (remote), you will need to make sure you are connected to the VPN before doing the steps below.
Instructions
The following steps will guide you through accessing Palisade Decision Tools / @RISK with an RDP File.
- Open your preferred internet browser and go to https://remote.krannert.purdue.edu.
- Sign in using your career account.

- Single click on the “Palisade Decision Tools” folder.

- Click the settings icon in the top right, and then choose "Download the rdp file".


- Choose the application you need to run and it will download an RDP file.

- Double Click the RDP file you just downloaded and the application will launch. Please be patient, it can take up to 60 seconds to launch the first time. If prompted, sign-in by prefacing your username with "boilerad\". If you do not have that option, choose "Use a different account" and try again.


- Click on “Sign in”. (If you do not get this prompt, just go on to the next step)

- Type in your Purdue email address and then click “Next”. (If you do not get this prompt, just go on to the next step)

- Type in your career account password and then click “Next”: (If you do not get this prompt, just go on to
the next step)

- Use your phone to complete the Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).

- Select “OK”. (If you do not get this prompt, just go on to the next step)

- Select “Done”.

- You should now be at a blank Excel document with the App you choose added into Excel.
