AppsAnywhere: Validation fails on M1 Macs

Body

Cause

In late 2020, Apple began the transition from Intel processors to Apple silicon in Mac computers.

As the AppsAnywhere client is an Intel-based application, Rosetta must be installed on Macs with M1 processors in order for the client to run.

Unfortunately, simply visiting the AppsAnywhere portal to validate does not trigger the prompt for users to install Rosetta.

Work around

Manually run the AppsAnywhere client from /Applications/Software2/AppsAnywhere.app, which will prompt to install Rosetta, as below. (Reference: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT211861)

Once Rosetta is installed, visit the AppsAnywhere Portal again to proceed with validation

Manually run the AppsAnywhere client from /Applications/Software2/AppsAnywhere.app
