Overview
This article lists the steps to manually map the M drive on a Windows computer. This is intended only for PFW computers that have migrated to the BoilerAD domain but still require the file share to use ADIPFW permissions.
Instructions
NOTE: You will need to be connected to the Purdue Network for these instructions to be successful. (VPN or on Campus Connections)
- Open File Explorer from the Start Menu or Task Bar. In the left panel, right-click "This PC."
- Choose the "Map Network Drive..." option.

- Select "M" for the drive letter, type \\banbatchprod2.pfw.edu\data for the folder, and ensure "Reconnect at sign-in" and "Connect using different credentials" is checked.

- Type ADIPFW\ before your user name (no spaces). This will change the "Domain" listed under the Password field from "BoilerAD" to "ADIPFW". Additionally, check the box to "Remember my credentials."

- You should now be able to access the M drive and all sub-folders within.
