Instructions

The steps for connecting and disconnecting a laptop to a classroom projector:

Connecting a Laptop:

  1. Open the Crestron touch panel on the instructor’s station.
  2. Touch the screen to start the A/V system.
  3. Wait for the projector to warm up.
  4. Connect the laptop to the plug labeled “Computer.”
  5. To connect to the internet, use the wire labeled “LAN” and plug it into the laptop’s LAN port.
  6. Turn on your laptop.
  7. Press the “Laptop” button on the left side of the touch panel.
  8. For sound output, connect the wire labeled “Audio” to the laptop’s audio port.
  9. Adjust volume using the “Vol Up” and “Vol Down” buttons on the panel.

Disconnecting a Laptop:

  1. Touch the “OFF” button on the screen to shut down the system.
  2. Choose “Yes” to continue with the shutdown or “No” to continue working.
  3. Wait for the projector to cool down.
  4. Disconnect any attached devices and replace connection cables in the recess.
  5. Close the laptop lid.
