Signing Into CERTInext (InCommon Certificate Manager)

Overview

This article covers how to activate Certinext accounts and log in to Certinext. First time users should refer to the First-Time Access section to claim their account before logging in.

First-Time Access

If you have been designated as a CERTInext administrator and have received an account activation email, complete the account activation process before attempting to log in with Purdue SSO. Follow the instructions in the activation email to activate your account and perform any required first-time setup. If you need the email resent, please submit an email to accounts@purdue.edu.

Instructions

  1. In a web browser, navigate to the CERTInext portal:

  2. You will be presented with the CERTInext sign-in page.

  3. Click "From an InCommon Member Institution".

  4. Press Single Sign-On, then press the orange button "Sign in with your institution".

  5. Press "Access through your Institution".

  6. On the institution selection page, search for and select Purdue University Main Campus.

  7. You will be redirected to Purdue's authentication page.

  8. Sign in using your Purdue Career Account credentials and complete Duo authentication if prompted.

  9. After successful authentication, you will be redirected back to CERTInext and signed in.

Troubleshooting

  • Verify that you selected Purdue University Main Campus from the InCommon institution list.
  • If you receive an authorization error after authenticating with Purdue, confirm that you have been granted access to CERTInext.
  • If you need access added or encounter login issues, contact the IAMO team at accounts@purdue.edu.

Note: Once users have claimed their account, users should sign in using "From an InCommon Member Institution" and their Purdue credentials for all future access.
