How do I set up my Android device for Office 365 for Purdue PRF?


This article provides step-by-step instructions for configuring an Android device to the Microsoft 365 email for Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) employees.


NOTE:  These instructions are only for Purdue Research Foundation employees.

  1. From your home screen, press the 'Settings' icon.  
  2. Scroll to 'Accounts' and press 'Add Account'.  
  3. Select 'Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync'.  
  4. Key in your email address and password. 
  5. Click 'Next'. 
  6. Your phone or tablet should fill in all the appropriate data itself.  After it does, click 'OK'.  
    NOTE:  If it does not Autofill, see step 8 for server configuration information.
  7. The next screen will allow you to select a variety of Account Options.  Make changes to this as you like.  Click 'Next'.  
  8. Server Configuration is as follows.
    1. Exchange server:
    2. Use secure connection: checked
    3. Use client certificate: unchecked
