How to create a Code Signing Certificate Invitation

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to create an invitation for an end user to request an InCommon Code Signing Certificate.

Instructions

Technician must have access to the Team Dynamix (TDX) ticketing system and Setigo/InCommon Certificate Manager with elevated privileges. Additionally, on the TDX ticket the requester must provide a departmental email address that will receive the invitation to create the code signing certificate.  

  1. Sign into your SectiGo/InCommon Certificate Manager portal (https://cert-manager.com/customer/InCommon

  1. Click on the hamburger (three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner 

  1. Click on Certificates 

  1. Click on Code Signing Certificates 

  1. The system will list all code signing certificates in the system 

  1. Click on Invitations in the upper right  

  1. The system will now list all the outstanding invitations (ones that the user did not respond to) 

  1. The system will prompt you to enter an email address that the invitation to create the code signing certificate will be sent to 

  1. The fields labeled as Enrollment Endpoint, Account and Profile should be left as defaults 

  1. Click on Send to send the invitation to the email you entered 

  1. Close out of the TDX ticket and tell the requester that a code signing certificate request invitation has been sent to their email. The requester will need to follow the instructions in the email to claim the certificate
