This Knowledge Base should walk you through the steps of exporting the bookmarks/favorites you have saved from various browsers so that you can back them up or prepare to transfer them to a new machine.
Instructions
Find the browser that you use for your bookmarks. Under the heading, you will find a information on how to export your bookmarks or a guide provided by the developers for backing up bookmarks.
How to Export your Bookmarks
Google Chrome
If using Chrome - you can export your bookmarks following these steps: How to export your bookmarks in Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
If using Firefox - you can export your bookmarks following these steps: How to export Bookmarks in Firefox
Microsoft Edge
- Click the Favorites icon at the top-right of the browser to bring down the favorites menu
- Click the ellipse on the favorites bar to bring down the menu
- Select Export Bookmarks
- Select the location to save your file.
- Note: We would recommend saving this file to cloud storage or your U drive for easy access from other devices
