Overview
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for connecting to the ADDL Virtual Private Network (VPN), enabling secure access to computers, files, and other resources. Access is restricted to authorized users only. If you require access, please contact your IT support team.
Important Notes:
- If the Purdue VPN is not installed, follow these instructions before proceeding.
- You must have permission to access the ADDL VPN.
- You must be the administrator of your device to install software.
- Purdue Two-Factor Authentication (Duo Mobile) is required for VPN services.
Instructions
- Connect to the ADDL VPN
Before proceeding, ensure you have the necessary permissions and an active connection to the ADDL VPN. This process is similar to connecting to the Purdue VPN (instructions can be found here.)
- Open the Cisco Secure Client application.
- Enter the following address exactly (case-sensitive):
webvpn.purdue.edu/ADDL-Users
- Click Connect.
- Authenticate
- When prompted, enter your credentials in the following format:
- Username: boilerad\[your_username]
- Password: Enter your Purdue Career Account password
- Approve the notification in the Duo Mobile App to complete the authentication.
Note: If authentication fails or you’re prompted for additional input, use this format:
- [password],######
- Replace [password] with your Purdue Career Account password.
- Replace ###### with the six-digit code from Duo Mobile.
- Connection Complete
- Once authenticated, your device will be securely connected to the ADDL VPN.
