How do I connect to the Software Remote system?

Instructions

To connect to Software Remote, it is recommend the Citrix Workspace App be downloaded and installed from: www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/.

NOTE:  For Mac OS X 10.13 "High Sierra" and Mac OS X 10.14 "Mojave", scroll to the end of this document for specific instructions.

Steps:

  1. "Add Account, enter your work email or server address provided by your IT Department:" Enter: goremote.itap.purdue.edu
     
  2. Enter your Purdue Career Account login for “Username”
     
  3. Enter your Purdue Career Account password for “Password”

NOTE: As of 7/7/2021, when off campus, you MUST use a Purdue VPN connection when connecting to Software Remote.  

Your Purdue Career Account home directory will be mounted as drive W: on the Software Remote server and will be accessible to the application you are running.

Software Remote applications are for instructional usage only, if you have questions please click the 'Purdue IT Request' button to start a ticket.

Software Remote is restricted to West Lafayette campus students only - due to software licenses.

Mac OS X 10.13 "High Sierra" and Mac OS X 10.14 "Mojave"
The newest version of Citrix Workspace for Mac that is automatically downloaded if you click the "Install" button on the GoRemote web page – or - the newest version on www.citrix.com does not support Mac OS X 10.13 or Mac OS X 10.14.

Mac OS X 10.13 "High Sierra" and Mac OS X 10.14 "Mojave" users can download the August 2020 "2008" build of Citrix Workspace which will still work on those versions.  It may be downloaded from: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/legacy-receiver-for-mac/workspace-app-for-mac-2008.html
