How to Configure PRF Email For Outlook?


This article describes how to configure PRF email for Outlook.


The following are the steps to configure the Outlook desktop client for PRF email accounts.

NOTE: PRF employees use O365 which utilizes its own auto-discover feature different from Exchange

  1. Go to 'Control Panel' > 'Mail' and select 'Show Profiles'.
  2. On the 'Mail' window (where it lists the existing Outlook profiles), click on the 'Add...' button.
  3. If the PRF account does not show up in the "E-mail Address" field, delete what is there and type in the entire "" email address. NOTE: Your password will be your PRF email password which may be different from your Purdue Career Account password.
  4. Click next.
  5. You will now see Outlook attempting to automatically configure your mailbox settings. Once that is complete, the account should be ready for use.
