If you have questions about a data connection, please contact your local technical support area first (e.g., CSDS, ECN, Ag IT, etc...).

Your room does not have a PIC, and you need the ability to have a phone AND a computer:

  • For a standard PIC, which consists of (2) telephone jacks and (2) data jacks, contact your Business Office and have them submit a request to the Work Control Center, Physical Facilities.  Enter the request though the OnePurdue Plant Maintance.

You have a PIC but you need some additional phone or data jacks at that location:

  • For additional cables to an existing PIC, contact your Business Office and have them enter the request though the OnePurdue Plant Maintance.

You have a room that has no PIC and you need the ability to have a phone OR a computer:

  • For a phone only PIC, which has (1) phone jack or a data only PIC which has (2) jacks, contact your Business Office and have them submit the request though the OnePurdue Plant Maintenance.

NOTE: Activation of phones will require a request to be submitted to Telephone Department.  Activation of data jacks will require a request by your Network Administrator/Manager to the Purdue Data Network.
