Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for instructors to request their course be captured by BoilerCast.

Instructions

Courses can be BoilerCast only if the instructor in charge of the course or their designated representative makes the request. This request can be made by filling out the online registration form.

  1. Go to https://purdue.edu/boilercast

  2. Click on the 'Request BoilerCast' link.

  3. Fill out the request form.
NOTE:  All classrooms are capable of capturing the desktop PC's monitor output, but only certain classrooms are capable of recording all types of display signals. To see which classrooms are capable of recording all types, go to the 'BoilerCast Locations' page located here http://www.itap.purdue.edu/facilities/tic/locations/index.html

  4. Read the text at the bottom of the form and click 'I Agree' to submit the form.

NOTE:  By clicking 'I Agree' you authorize Purdue IT to record audio and/or video for the specified course and archive the recordings so students can access them. Your career account ID will be forwarded along with the information as proof of your identity.

You will receive an email confirmation after you complete the request form. A subsequent email will include the information you submitted in the request form and a tracking number that you can use to track the progress of your request from Purdue Service.
