How to Check the Installation Status of SAPGUI

Overview

This article gives instructions for how to check the status of your SAPGUI installation. 

Instructions

  1. From the Start Menu, scroll down until you find “SAP Front End”

  1. Click on “SAP GUI Configuration”
     
  2. Navigate to “System Information”
     
  3. Click the “Check SAP GUI Installation” button

  1. Click “Next”
  2. All of the SAPGUI installed files will be checked.  The process should come back with a successful message “The SAP products on this workstation are correctly installed.  No errors detected”.

SAP Front End Installer

  1. If the check process comes back with errors, SAPGUI has not be properly installed on the machine and requires a complete uninstall/re-install in order to correct the problems.
     
  2. If a re-installation is necessary, please be sure to close down all SAPGUI windows, including the SAP Logon Pad before beginning the installation process. 
     
  3. Reboot the computer after the installation is complete.
