Purdue Fort Wayne- Activating your student account

A detailed explanation on how new students can activate their PFW Account for the first time. 

Instructions

The steps to activate your student account at Purdue Fort Wayne:

  1. Go to the myaccount.pfw.edu in a web browser and click on “First-time Activation.”
  2. Click on the "Account Management Service" link.
  3. Read the information provided about the account activation process.
  4. Agree to the Ethical Guidelines for Computer Users if you’re comfortable with them.
  5. Enter your last name, birth date, and either the last 4 digits of your social security number or your PFW student ID number.
  6. Note down your username and email address displayed on the resulting page.
  7. Set a password for your account following the listed conventions.
  8. Click the Submit Password and Activate Account button.
  9. Provide a security question and answer for password recovery.
  10. Your account is now activated, and you can use it to log into goPFW, access student computing labs, and online coursework.
