Overview
AspenTech In Plant Estimator is a desktop application used by the engineers in Energy & Utilities to estimate utility projects.
Details
AspenTech is a locally installed application that uses a software license manager (SLM) for authentication. A package was created to install the application which requires you to complete the installation once downloaded. If you have any issues with the installation, please call the ITaP Customer Service Center at (765) 494-4000 for assistance. The package must be approved by Energy & Utilities before being deployed to you machine.
Licensing is by token and is managed by a software license manager on a dedicated server. Per their current agreement, only one (1) user may access the software at a time. If someone else is using the software, you will receive an error message. You will also receive an error message if you attempt to launch any of the other modules that are not included in the Purdue license. Please wait and try again. If you have repeated issues getting logged in, please call the Purdue IT Service Desk at (765) 494-4000 for assistance.
After installation, you will need to redirect your default project directory to the departmental share or “U drive”. Instructions to do this are in the user manual which you may get from your requesting supervisor.
