How do I clear the cache in Safari?

Overview

The instructions below describe how you may clear the cache in Safari.

Instructions

1. Open a Safari browser session
    
2. Select Preferences from the Safari menu
   
    
3. Click the Advanced icon in the tool bar
    
4. Check the box for Show Develop menu in menu bar
   
    
5. Close the Preferences window
    
6. In the menu bar, select Develop > Empty Caches
   
    
7. Quit Safari and launch the application, again.
