Overview
If you received an e-mail that you believe to be phishing, please use the "Report Message" button in your Outlook client. This will quickly alert the security team about a suspicious email. Users can expect an automatic reply from PSS when submitting a Phishing email, which opens a ticket in their system. The reported email should also automatically be moved to the Deleted Items or Trash folder to unclutter your inbox. Please follow up with the automated message from PSS if you wish to follow up on the email that was reported.
Alternatively, if you use a different email client other than Outlook or do not have the Outlook client available to you, please forward the suspicious email to security@purdue.edu or abuse@purdue.edu.
If you receive harassing or inappropriate emails that might constitute a crime:
- Call your local police department to report the crime.
- Do not delete offending email from your computer until you have contacted your local police and they instruct you to do so.
