Overview

This article provides instructions for adding desktop items back to your computer once desktop redirection is pointing to OneDrive.

Instructions

If you have lost your icons follow these instructions to get them back to your desktop.

  1. Open file explorer.

  1. Expand the OneDrive folder.

  1. Click on the desktop folder and copy everything.

  1. Another location you desktop files and documents files could be is your local profile.  To get there first go got the C: Drive.

  1. Then go to the users folder.

  1. Then locate your username folder.

  1. Then go into the desktop and documents folder’s one at a time and copy all of the contents and past them into the CSDSDATA desktop and documents folders.

  1. Then expand the CSDSDATA Folder and click on the desktop folder in there and paste everything into the folder.

  1. Do the same for the documents folder.  Copy from the OneDrive documents folder and paste into the CSDSDATA document folder.
