May I publish information to the Purdue web servers (www.purdue.edu)?
Overview
To publish content to Purdue’s web servers, you either need to request access to an existing Purdue-hosted site or you need to request a new site.
Instructions
How to Request Access to an Existing Site
-
Typically, you’ll need to submit a request to Purdue IT Web Services to gain Developer access. Click the ‘Purdue IT Request’ button to start your request.
-
If your site uses a CMS (Content Management System) like Cascade or WordPress and you only need access within the CMS, you can directly ask an existing site admin or the site’s owner for access.
Tip: If you’re not sure who the site’s owner is, you can use the Service Reports Tool if the site is hosted by Purdue IT.
How to Request a New Site
If you need to request a new site on Purdue’s web servers, click the ‘Purdue IT Request’ button to open a ticket with Purdue IT Web Services. Please provide the following information in your request:
Note: Between owners and developers, all sites hosted by Purdue IT must have at least two points of contact to meet Internal Audit requirements. This increases the likelihood that we can get in touch with someone if there is an issue with a site.
