Overview
An explanation on how to connect and disconnect a laptop from a classroom projector.
Instructions
The steps for connecting and disconnecting a laptop to a classroom projector:
Connecting a Laptop:
- Open the Crestron touch panel on the instructor’s station.
- Touch the screen to start the A/V system.
- Wait for the projector to warm up.
- Connect the laptop to the plug labeled “Computer.”
- To connect to the internet, use the wire labeled “LAN” and plug it into the laptop’s LAN port.
- Turn on your laptop.
- Press the “Laptop” button on the left side of the touch panel.
- For sound output, connect the wire labeled “Audio” to the laptop’s audio port.
- Adjust volume using the “Vol Up” and “Vol Down” buttons on the panel.
Disconnecting a Laptop:
- Touch the “OFF” button on the screen to shut down the system.
- Choose “Yes” to continue with the shutdown or “No” to continue working.
- Wait for the projector to cool down.
- Disconnect any attached devices and replace connection cables in the recess.
- Close the laptop lid.
