Instructions

If you’re experiencing OneDrive sync issues, here are some steps to help you get syncing again:

  1. Check OneDrive Status: Ensure OneDrive is running. Manually launch it by searching for “OneDrive” in the Start menu and selecting “OneDrive (Desktop app)” from the results.
  2. File Size Limit: Make sure your file size is below the OneDrive limit of 15 GB.
  3. Windows Updates: Install the latest Windows updates and ensure you have the latest OneDrive version.

Additionally, consider restarting OneDrive or using the guided support troubleshooting tool. If you’re on Windows 10, you can restart OneDrive by right-clicking its icon in the system tray, selecting the gear icon, and choosing “Pause Syncing” > “Quit OneDrive”. For more advanced troubleshooting, you can reset the OneDrive desktop sync app using the “wsreset.exe” command. If you’re using OneDrive for work or school, repair sync connections using the Repair option in the OneDrive menu.
