Overview
If you received an e-mail that you believe to be phishing, please use the "Report Message" button in your Outlook client. This will quickly alert the Purdue IT security team about a suspicious email and report the email to Microsoft directly.
Alternatively, if you use a different email client other than Outlook, or do not have the Outlook client available to you, please forward the suspicious email to abuse@purdue.edu. Users can expect an automatic reply from Purdue Systems Security (PSS) when submitting a Phishing email to abuse@purdue.edu, which opens a ticket in their system. The reported email should also automatically be moved to the Deleted Items folder to unclutter your inbox. Please follow up with the automated message from PSS if you wish to follow up on the email that was reported.
Additional phishing tips can be found on the Secure Purdue page: Phishing Resources
