Ag - How to allow a local connection while connected to VPN on a Windows Computer

Overview

This article goes over the steps for turning on the Cisco VPN's ability to add a local (LAN) connection while connected ot the VPN. This article can be used to troubleshoot or allow for computers to connect to home printers wirelessly while on the Purdue VPN.

Instructions

Below are instructions to turn on the option for a Local (LAN) connection for the Cisco Secure Client.

  1. Open the Cisco Secure Client

  2. Click the Advanced Window option at the bottom-right corner of the application.

  3. On the Advanced Window, select the Anyconnect VPN option

  4. In the Anyconnect VPN options, select Preferences

  5. Make sure the option Allow local (LAN) access when using VPN (if configured) is checked.

  6. Close the VPN Settings window
