Ag - How do I download, install, and connect to Cisco Secure Client on a personal device (Windows and Mac)?

Overview

How to install and connect to the VPN through Cisco Secure Client on a PC or Mac.

Downloading and Installing

  1. Open up a web browser and go to https://webvpn.purdue.edu/Ag-General

  2. Enter your Purdue credentials and click Login. You must approve signing in through Duo Mobile or Token.

  3. Click Download for Windows/Download for MacOS (the website will prompt you to download the version for your platform)

  4. Click on + Instructions. This will walk you through the installation steps for your device
  5. Go to the default download location of your browser and begin the installation process by double-clicking the installer for the VPN

Connect to the VPN

  1. Open Cisco Secure Client on your device
  2. If you do not see any options in the drop down area, type in webvpn.purdue.edu/Ag-General into the field to the left of Connect. If you see options in the drop down field, the Boilerkey. Ag - (Default) Purdue Only Traffic profile is the one you want to select and connect to.

  3. Click Connect, enter your Purdue credentials, and click OK. You must approve signing in through Duo Mobile or Token.
  4. Once the VPN window disappears, it means you have connected successfully

Disconnecting from the VPN

  1. Search for Cisco Secure Client and open the app on your device
  2. Click on Disconnect
