Ag - How to Update Apps through Self Service (Mac)

Overview

These instructions will walk you through how to update all of your applications through Self Service on your Mac by using the Update Applications feature.


 

Instructions

  1. Open Spotlight Search by pressing Command+Space bar, clicking on the magnifying glass icon located at the top right of the Menu Bar
  2. Search for Self Service. If highlighted, press Return. If not, click on the top result as illustrated in the screenshot below

  3. Sign in with your Purdue username and password

  4. Click on Browse and then Updaters

  5. Click on Update Now under Update Applications

  6. It will take roughly 10-15 minutes for this script to run and gather a list of apps that require updates. You may not see any progress on this until the script finalized gathering an app list.
  7. Once the script gathers a list of apps that need updating, you will see a PUIT App Auto-Patch come up with a list of apps that will update on your device. You will get individual prompts for each app asking to either Quit and Update or Not Now when they are ready to be installed. Click Quit and Update

  8. Once all apps have been installed, you will be able to click on Done at the bottom right of the PUIT App Auto-Patch window
