Overview
These instructions will walk you through how to update all of your applications through Self Service on your Mac by using the Update Applications feature.
Do not start this process unless you have at least 45 minutes for this to complete
You will be prompted to quit applications on an individual basis once the process starts. Make sure to save anything you are currently working on before starting

Instructions
- Open Spotlight Search by pressing Command+Space bar or clicking on the magnifying glass icon located at the top right of the Menu Bar
- Search for Self Service+. If highlighted, press Return. If not, click on the top result as illustrated in the screenshot below
- Sign in with your Purdue username and password
- Click in the search bar on the top left of the window and search for update
- Click on Update Now for Update Applications
- It will take roughly 10-15 minutes for the program to gather a list of apps that need to update on your device. You will see a PUIT App Auto-Patch window at the bottom-right of your screen scanning your apps to see if they need updates. This window can be minimized
- Once the list is gathered, the PUIT App Auto-Patch window show you the list of apps that will update on your device. You will get prompts to either Quit and Update or Not Now if an application that needs to update is running in the background or open. Save any work if needed before selecting Quit and Update. Click Not Now if you want to skip the update for the app listed in the dialog box
- Once all apps have been installed, you will be able to click on Done at the bottom right of the PUIT App Auto-Patch window
