How do I submit a request for a basic phone?

How to request a Purdue-owned basic cell phone for business use. 

Instructions

  1. Click the 'Purdue IT Request' button to start a ticket
     
  2. Include in your request:
    1. The vendor for basic cell phones is Verizon.
    2. Device offered is Kyocera which is available with or without a camera.
    3. Do you want to rent or purchase a new device?
    4. Name of person the device is for.
    5. Account number to pay for the device purchase and ongoing service plan.
    6. Service plan is voice only. The plan offers 400 minutes shared and pooled with devices on the same plan. Overages are only charged when all devices exceed 400 minutes.
    7. Will this device be used internationally?
       
  3. Once a service request has been submitted the processing time can take up to 2-3 weeks to complete depending on what is needed, availability, shipping, and pick-up.
     
  4. Purchasing a new device will take longer than receiving a rental.
    1. 1-3 business days for a cost summary to approve before the order is placed.
    2. 4-7 business days to receive everything from the vendor once the device and any accessories have been selected. 
       
  5. A rental device can typically be picked up in 1-3 business days.
