Life Sciences - How to set a default printer on a Windows machine

Overview

This KB article will take users through the steps to set a specific printer of their choice as a Default Printer on their Ag Managed Widows computer

 

Prerequisite(s)

Have the printer you are wanting to set as default already installed on your device

Instructions

 

  1. Click on the Search Bar at the bottom of the taskbar and type "Printers & Scanners"
     
  2. Select the Printers & Scanners system settings option that appears
     
  3. Search Bar Opening Printers and Scanners Settings


     
  4. On the Printers & Scanners page, scroll down to Printer Preferences
     
  5. In Printer Preferences, make sure that the option "Let Windows Manage my default printer" is set to Off.

  6. Find the printer you would like to make the Default Printer on your list of installed printers
     
  7. Select the Printer
     
  8. Click Set as Default
