If you are having issues after a network share has been migrated on a managed device, you can try the following:
- Windows
- Restart your Device
- Click on the Search bar and search for AgIT Help and click on the icon that looks like a blue circle with a white question mark, or highlight it and press Enter> In the Support Assistant window, click on Restore Mapped Drives under Tools
- If the two steps above did not work, open Command Prompt > Type in the command net use * /delete and press Enter> At this point, it will list all network drives this command will disconnect (We highly recommend taking a screenshot of everything before proceeding) > confirm you want to proceed by typing "y" and pressing Enter > Attempt the Restore Mapped Drives from the second troubleshooting step

- Mac
Current Isolon Network Path Example:
- Windows
- \\nas01.itap.purdue.edu\ag_pub
- Mac
- smb://nas01.itap.purdue.edu/ag_pub
New Qumulo Network Path Example:
- Windows
- \\wl.mydata.purdue.edu\ag_pub
- Mac
- smb://wl.mydata.purdue.edu/ag_pub
The only part of the network path that will be changing is nas01.itap.purdue.edu. This part of the network path will change to wl.mydata.purdue.edu.
Exclusions
- S and U drives for Extension Users
- W(\\nas01.itap.purdue.edu\myhome\yourusername), T(\\nas01.itap.purdue.edu\ag_projects), and P(\\nas01.itap.purdue.edu\ag_pub) drives for everyone.
- Projects and Pub drives will migrate on May 29th.
- W Drive will have a tentative migration month of July
- Data Depot
We highly recommend taking a screenshot of your current network drive paths before the Ag migration to Qumulo for a record of what was mapped before the migration. Below, we will list the most common ways to find the paths to your network drives
Finding network drive paths on a managed Windows device
Search for AgIT Help from the search on your taskbar and click on it. This will open AgIT Support Assistant.

Finding network drive paths on a personal Windows device
Search for Command Prompt from the search on your taskbar and click on it. Type in the command net use

Finding network drive paths on a managed Mac
Click on the network drive icon on your Menu Bar and select Preferences

Finding network drive paths on a managed/personal Mac
Open Finder > Click Go on the Menu Bar > Click Connect to Server...

Windows
-
If you are on a managed Windows device that auto-maps network drives, you should not experience any interruptions. If you have manually mapped any network drive, these will need to be disconnected and re-mapped with the new network path. Quick Access pins to Isilon network paths should update on managed devices.
- For personal devices, you will need to re-map(for migrated network storage) your Ag network drives that contain nas01.itap.purdue.edu in the path as well as anything you may have pinned to Quick Access
- If you have a program save to a network drive, you will need to point the save location to the new path
Mac
- On a managed device that auto-maps your network drives, you should not experience any interruptions. If you have manually mapped any network drive, these will need to be disconnected and re-mapped with the new network path.
- For personal devices, you will need to re-map(for migrated network storage) your Ag network drives that contain nas01.itap.purdue.edu in the current path
- If you have a program save to a network drive, you will need to point the save location to the new path
