Knowledge Base: How to add image to TDX Knowledge Base article.

Overview

This article provides instructions on how to add images to TDX Knowledge Base articles.

Instructions

Note about adding images: Before adding images to an article, consider if they are truly necessary. Screen shot images can change frequently as services/devices are updated and may not reflect the user’s experience. If you believe the images are necessary, be sure to include alternative text to make the images accessible. (See Internal Purdue IT Article: Web Accessibility best practices for images on websites).

  1. To insert images into article (copy and paste from another source does not work), click on the Image button in the ‘Body’ toolbars

Article toolbar with image button highlighted

  2. In the pop-up window, click on the ‘Upload’ tab, use the ‘Choose File’ button and select your correct image from where you stored them.

  3. Click on the ‘Send it to the Server’ button

  4. Click the ‘OK’ button for the acknowledgement pop-up and TDX will take you to the Image Info tab.

  5. On the Image properties window, add alternative text, adjust size if necessary, and put a “1” in the border box.

  6. Click OK to upload the image.
